 Guided Photo Breaks...
Tramore Strand: George Munday - Copper Coast Workshops

Photo-Vacations...

combine travel and the art of photography to offer a unique opportunity to shoot in the southeast corner of Ireland, guided by an experienced landscape photographer. Locations are selected to cover familiar sights and those off the beaten path, and cover different photographic genres like seascapes, landscape, villages and some of our architectural heritage. Although our schedule is timed to maximize the best light, we keep travelling time to a minimum.

Day 1:
Subject to the time of arrival, we will photograph some nearby locations like Boatstand fishing harbour and the old copper mine buildings in the evening.

Day 2:
Early morning to Ardmore where the 1000 year old Round Tower overlooks the town and beach. From there we'll follow the cliff walk to the old beacon and the wreck of the "Samson", an old crane ship offering interesting photographic possibilities.

In the afternoon, to Lismore Castle with its Jacobean Sculpture Garden. En-route home, we'll detour to the unusual Hindu-Gothick Dromona Gates. In the evening we'll go over the day's events - crit some of the work - and discuss -and try - post-processing Photoshop techniques.

Day 3:

An early morning drive to Tramore, the long established seaside resort and then on to Dunmore East, which features a lovely little bay, seaside pub, thatched cottages, and a commercial fishing harbour. From there it's the exact opposite - Cheekpoint - a tiny fishing harbour, quiet and somewhat neglected, but with it's own photographic charm.

After lunch to Kilmore Quay, via New Ross, and on to Slade and Hook Head lighthouse (the oldest lighthouse in Ireland - and open to the public); Then to Arthurstown with its castle and finally to the little ferry at Passage East, for our return to Radharc Álainn.

Day 4:
An early morning start to the Mahon Falls, that cascades down a cliff in the Comeragh Mountains. Back to Radharc Álainn for lunch, prior to our guests return home.
