 French Photo Vacations...
St-Guilhem-le-Desert: George Munday - Copper Coast Workshops

The French PhotoVacation...

is for enthusiastic and advanced photographers who like to photograph the landscape. The participants and group leader will be photographing in the field and sharing their knowledge, vision, philosophy and experience. There will be no basic photographic instruction; but there will be ample opportunities to chill out and to enjoy the local food and wine. The itinerary, which may be subject to change is...

Day 1 and 2:
Arrival at the West Mill. The next day has a morning of relaxation. In the afternoon, we will visit the nearby Bambouseraie, one of the most beautiful gardens in France.

Day 3 (Mon):
A trip to the coast including fishing villages like Meze, Le Grau-du-Roi, Aigues-Mortes and Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer in the legendry Carmargue.

Day 4 (Tue):
Street photography at the Saint-Jean-du-Gard Market, followed by an afternoon trip by steam train to Anduze, that offers a mediaeval charm of ancient streets.

Day 5 (Wed):
A day visit to the Papal city of Avignon, with an evening detour to the ancient Roman Aquaduct, the Pont du Gard.

Day 6 (Thur):
A rest Day...but for those interested we may arrange an evening shoot of le Viaduc de Millau. This road-bridge spans the valley of the river Tarn near Millau. It is the tallest vehicular bridge in the world, with one mast's summit only slightly shorter than the Empire State Building.

Day 7 (Fri):
The Gorge du Tarn, a magnificent canyon that cuts a precipitous trench through the limestone plateaux. 400–500m deep and 1000–1500m wide, its steep sides are cloaked with woods of feathery pine and spiked with pinnacles of eroded rock.

Day 8 (Sat):
Departure from West Mill.
