Digital darkroom: George Munday Photographic/Copper Coast Workshops
The Weekend Itinerary...

What are the arrival and departure times:
We welcome our guests from 4.30 pm on Friday, with supper usually served around 7.30. The course normally finishes on Sunday afternoon, after the final Photoshop sessions.

What equipment do we need to bring:
Your digital camera and - if you have any - accessories; along with waterproofs and walking shoes. If you would feel more comfortable working on your own laptop, please bring it along.

The program:
Saturday begins with a brief talk about the basic principles of photography and the controls on your digital camera. The relationship between aperture, shutter speeds and ISO; histograms, eliminating camera shake and why the "raw" mode should be used. Then we'll break to take a tour of nearby coastal locations, for a short practice session before lunch.

In the Digital Darkroom:
We will introduce you to Photoshop, a software program that will enable you to process your photography. We'll teach you how to use Bridge to view and sort your files. We'll explain curves, re-touching, burning & dodging and the pros and cons of various file formats, particularly RAW capture. Finally we'll show you where DNG conversion fits in and how to convert your images.

Non-workshop partners...
Partners of photographers are always welcome. There are lots of activities to be found locally including golf, canoeing, sea-fishing, walking and special interests like geology and bird watching.
