My favourite thing about fishing is the time between catching each fish. The time when you’re just sitting quietly and still, soaking in your surroundings, your attention focussed on the here and now, waiting for the next bite. I think it’s a western form of meditation.
Great site! I am trying to decide between a cannon/Nikon models camera and see you examples on your site. Also, is there a particular editing software I should use to run my photos through? Thanks for your comments. http://www.wix.com/shepherdaway/OMV-Photo
A bit late getting back to you… and I’ll try to answer your questions. On the choice of Canon or Nikon – it’s irrelevant; I started with Canon solely because Nikon offered little choice when I started shooting digitally. In 2010, it’s a matter of buying whichever is most comfortable and getting the best value for money. Pay particular attention to the lens that you get because along with pixel size, the glassware is the key to quality. My “why” page outlines my attitude to equipment.
The editing software again is a matter of choice; most folk use Photoshop – CS4 or 5 if really keen, Elements 8 is less sophisticated, but important if cost is a factor. Hope that helps!
