Beautiful photo. Your treatment of it speaks to a sense of desolation and hopelessness. Again, I love that you’ve included a person in there. Great sense of scale and also increases the sense of hopelessness. I can hear him thinking “how am I going to fix this?”
Glad you like it Matt; but again no filters, only the U/V and Photoshop.
The problem I find with filters is that they leave no room for manoeuvre. So I always shoot in colour and make any changes later. In this case adjusting the filters in CS3’s black and white mode. The advantage is that the effects can be applied subtly, until it reaches the required result.
