    I wonder if you could share your reasons for choosing a white vignette on this one.

    I agree with what you say. The white seems to make it feel more free and easy which totally matches the body language of the lady and the whimsical hats and skirt.

    That’s a good question Matt, but I’m not sure that I can answer it in a definitive way. I tried it all kinds of finishes; plain B/W with or without a black vignette gave the scene a rather heavy feeling. I felt that the white vignette seemed to reflect more accurately the warmth and light within the scene – so I just went with it.

    Even then I wasn’t sure whether to post it or not. But I’ve been amazed by the range of photographic opinions and likes, so thought – what the hell…!
