County Waterford & the Copper Coast
With Radharc Álainn's location in the centre of the Copper Coast, it would be difficult to find a region with more
variety on the doorstep. It's in the midst of these delightful surroundings that we demonstrate the techniques of
digital photography. These photographs by George Munday, illustrate just a little of the beautiful landscape.
Waterford is an ancient county with a rich heritage. It is able to offer a vast selection of different landscapes
including sea-cliffs, secluded coves, mountains, lakes, waterfalls, thatched cottages, castles, and even a
Hindu-GothicGateway.
The Copper Coast, the location for Copper Coast Workshops, stretches along just 25 kilometres of the County
Waterford coastline.Vestiges of the areas mining heritage can still be seen today, and it's this, along with its
unusual geology, that has enabled it to become a UNESCO designated Geopark..
